Just to say hello and break the good news that we've crashed through our £70,000 mark! The recently raised target of £80,000 is looking well within our grasp before the start of summer. That's all the news for now except to remind you of the Local Towers Open Day which takes place on May 7th 2007.

Sizzling! We're Cooking with Gas . . .

. . . well, not quite! But just look at our total now! We've recently had requests for two more bells to be sponsored and coupled with a very successful Launch Dinner at Bowlish House last weekend, we've soared up to £58,647.

But, watch this space, we have more interest in bell sponsorship and it's possible that the total will rise again dramatically in the next few days.

The response to our fund-raising project has been phenomenal. Nearly £60,000 in just four months. Thanks to everyone who's expressed interest in the project so far. See the main website for all the latest news.

Over Half Way There!

Christmas came early for the fund raising team at Shepton Bells Appeal. We've just received a large gift-aided sponsorship pledge of £10,000 which brings the total pledged to £39,038.32.

This is a good way to end the year and it's given the team a morale boost in readiness for the year ahead. However . . . it's still not too late to make a donation or consider sponsoring a major component. Please see the main website for details.

Slowly But Surely!

Christmas is approaching and the donations are slowing down a bit. Don't forget our launch dinner at Bowlish House Restaurant on January 20th though. Tickets are still available at £25.00 each. See below for more details. That'll get things on the move again.

Christopher Cazenove to Launch Appeal

Hollywood actor and local boy Christopher Cazenove will be the guest speaker at a special event to commemorate the start of the Shepton Mallet Bells Appeal. Christopher will speak at the Launch Dinner and Auction of Promises at the Bowlish House Restaurant, Shepton Mallet on January 20th 2007.

Tickets are £25.00 each with £10.00 going towards the appeal fund.

Latest Total & Launch Event News

As promised, the latest total is £23,164. The appeal will be launched in Church on Sunday 22nd October.

To celebrate the launch of the appeal and to raise some cash into the bargain, we will be holding a launch dinner and auction. The dinner will be at the Bowlish House Restaurant, Wells Road, Shepton Mallet on Saturday 20th January 2007.

Tickets will cost £25.00 each and the dinner will include wine and an auction. The guest speaker has yet to be confirmed but we're very excited about this celebrity who has connections with our town. More news as soon as we can!
